Previous: WP1    --    WP2    --    Next: WP3      Tasks: T2.1  T2.2  T2.3
Title: User Requirements and Manufacturing Specifications
Start month: M1 (Oct 2010)
End month:  M9 M12 (Sep 2011)
Leader: GRNET
Participants:  CNIT  ALU  MLX  LQDE  TEI  TELIT  GRNET  NASK  ETY
Objectives:
  • To describe reference network scenarios and related network and device level requirements.
  • To provide each WP with clear and basic service and economic requirements (traffic load and requirements specified on a per-device base, typologies of network interface technologies, etc).
  • To provide each WP with clear and basic technical specifications (power scaling and standby performance requirements in terms of wakeup and/or transition times, modularity specifications), enabling energy optimisation at both hardware and software level.
  • To provide input data requirements for the evaluation in WP6 of the developments of other WPs on a range of network applications.
  • To define a suitable set of standard benchmarking methodologies, scenarios and performance metrics to evaluate energy-aware functionalities and capabilities.
  • To specify test cases with representative platforms from different industrial sectors and applications.
  • To define test planning to validate the developed technology from product and process point of view.
