Objectives:
- Identify representative test case devices for each industrial sector meeting end user requirements specified in T2.1.
- Define reference benchmarking scenarios reflecting typical communication pattern over different home, access, transport and technologies by relevant user groups.
- Define energy efficiency evaluation criteria (performance metrics, including performance for green-aware and performance of network usability) to assure quality control, optimise process parameters and set up test procedures.
- Investigate energy-aware extensions of standard benchmarking and performance evaluation methodologies for networks and single devices (e.g. IETF RFCs 2544 and 4061);
- Define the reference scenario for large-scale network testing to be performed in TELIT, NASK and GRNET test plants.
- Define test plan strategies and specify evaluation criteria, usability of OAM applications, procedures for the test cases to be carried out in WP6.
