Title: Definition of Internal Standard Interfaces
Start month: M10 (Jul 2011)
End month:  M18 M24 (Sep 2012)
Leader: ALU
Participants:  CNIT  ALU  MLX  LQDE  TEI  DCU  WUT  NVR  LGT
Objectives:
  • Define and characterize effective sets of standard interfaces that work at different detail levels, and that can be applied for control- and data-planes intercommunication as well as for intra-data-plane notifications (e.g., wake-on-packet signal propagation);
  • Design and develop green standard interface (in terms of information types, of syntax, of semantics as well as of required interactions) to effectively communicate and exchange energy-aware data with green technologies at data-plane, and with OAM and control applications (including control commands and state reporting).
  • Define a feasible set of:
    • Commands from the OAM and control plane towards the devices able to administratively change their operating states.
    • Messages from the devices to the OAM and control plane in order to inform them about the former's operating states and state changes.
Private area
  • GAL definitely approved as ETSI standard
  • Memberhip voting phase and publication of the GAL standardization
  • ETSI EE Technical Board (TB) approval for GAL standardization
