Title: Development of the Abstraction Layer Framework
Start month:  M13 M17 (Feb 2012)
End month:  M24 M28 (Jan 2013)
Leader: DCU
Participants:  CNIT  ALU  MLX  LQDE  TEI  DCU  WUT  NVR  LGT  INFO
Objectives:
  • Starting from the definitions in T4.1 and T4.2, define specification for and design a suitable modular, multi-layered and easily extendible architecture for the green abstraction framework.
  • Design and develop:
    • green abstraction SW core and some initial SW/FW modules to interface the abstraction layer towards dummy energy-aware data- and control-planes.
    • SW/FW modules including green standard interfaces towards a representative sub-set of real data-plane elements.
    • SW modules implementing green standard interfaces towards a representative sub-set of real control-plane and OAM applications.
  • Set up a control version and a continuous integration environment providing a framework for developments in the current task, and also in subsequent development efforts (i.e., WP5 and WP6).
Private area
  • GAL definitely approved as ETSI standard
  • Memberhip voting phase and publication of the GAL standardization
  • ETSI EE Technical Board (TB) approval for GAL standardization
