Objectives: 

• Select, on the basis of T2.2 indications, a set of energy-aware hardware technologies capable of estimating their own or third parties energy consumption in a not invasive way.
• Define energy consumption measurement metrics and dynamics on the basis of T2.1 and T2.2 indications, with respect to the target devices where such measurement tools will be deployed.
• Explore effective techniques to measure and monitor energy-aware operating parameters as well as to estimate heat dissipation.
• Design and develop interfaces for measuring energy absorption and/or heat dissipation of internal device elements.
• Incorporate these measurement capabilities in selected network interfaces.
• Design and develop register/configuration interfaces of data-plane building-blocks to acquire energy- and heat-aware measures, according to the specifications of T4.1 and T4.2.
