Objectives: 

• Design green-aware extensions of:
  • traffic engineering protocols (with a special reference to MPLS family protocols) for supporting the algorithms and the criteria proposed in T5.2.
  • monitoring data exchange protocols, as well as of management protocols (e.g., SNMP MIBs, TMF standard interfaces) to support algorithms and criteria proposed in T5.3.
• Formal and performance evaluations on the overall performance effects of large-scale usage of such protocol extensions.
